I'm safe at home now. I arrived at 3:00 AM in Salt Lake and it's 5:05 and I'm still up due to AJ waking up. Hopefully he will go to bed soon. I am very tired. I am going to post some pictures of the evacuation of the Delta terminals at JFK.

I am finally getting on my flight from JFK to Salt Lake. We had to be evacuated due to a security breach. We were supposed to fly out at 7:45 and now it is 9:22. I hope the rest of the flight goes better.

Well, we just got evacuated from JFK airport due to a security breach. Who knows when we will get back in. They evacuated both Delta terminals. I will post pictures of it later. This is crazy!!!!!

I'm getting ready to head to the airport and fly home. It's been a fun week and a half minus the problems with my equipment. Kiev is a very nice place and I would love to visit it again with Laura. Our "baby sitters" Anya and Dmitry were very hospitible and took us where ever we needed to go. The city is a pretty cool city and I wish that we had more time to see all of it. I would have really liked to have had the time to go out to the countryside and see that.

Well, off I go. Back to the good old US of A.

Well, Today was my last full day in the Ukraine. Tomrrow I will be flying out. I was finally able to get a good portion of my telephone switch up and running. I will have to finish the rest when I get home. I fell and hurt my knee today and it is very stiff and sore. It's not going to be a fun flight home.

On sunday I went church at an international branch. That was pretty cool. Here are some pictures from the hotel where I am staying.

Today was a nice day. We took a break and did a little sight seeing. We went to this World War II monument and the museum. The monument is huge and they call her "Big Mama". The Museum is full of NAZI items from when they attacked the Soviet Union. It was crazy to see. They had some gloves that were made of human flesh and some soap from human fat. I'm going to post a few of the pictures. I also went and saw some churches and I went to this street where they sell souvenirs.

Well, I found out today that I might not even be able to get what I came here to do done. It is very frustrating. The day went very good. We went out to eat at TGI Fridays today. It was nice. I will post some pictures.

Well yesterday was not a fruitful day for me. I could not get the company that sold me my telephone equipement to come out to the office and get it working the way it is supposed to. I am getting quite frustrated and I hope things go better today. The other thing that happened yesterday was that the camera I use for trips to document the installations got dropped while one of the office staff was taking a picture. Now I have to go and find another camera. I wasn't feeling very good about that. Oh well, stuff happens. Once I get a new camera I will post some pictures of the office I am working on.

Well, my trip to the Ukraine has been filled with frustrations. We got here and found out that the cabling was bad. My co-worker has had problems getting the internet connection up and I can't get our Telephone circuit up because I can't get into our telephone switch. We are still waiting for some equipment. We have to go on a trek tomorrow to try and find some cable.

Today was my birthday and it was quite uneventful. I did get some nice happy bithday wishes from some people that mean quite a bit to me( most of all my wife!!). I had cake and ice cream at the hotel restaurant by myself, because my co-worker was so tired I told him to go ahead and go to bed since they were taking so long to bring out my desert. On the other hand how many people from the US get to have their birthday while they are in the Ukraine? I can't complain too much.

The weather has been very nice. A bit cool, but no rain or snow. I took some pictures and I will post a few on here.

Well, I am in the Ukraine. I arrived at 9:00 AM on Monday the 21st of October. The flight was pretty good. It didn't seem too long. The hotel isn't anything special. We don't even have internet in our rooms. I'm using my internet card and it is slow. I will post some pictures when I have a better connection. Well, I'm off to bed.

I'm getting ready to leave this weekend for the Ukraine and I am very excited. This has got to be the coolest job I have ever had. I'm a little nervous because I'm not sure I will be able to find the equipment that I need over there. I'm sure they have it, but finding the stores where they sell it is what has me concerned. Hopefully everything goes well. I will be posting updates when possible and I'll throw up some pictures like I did for Russia.

Well, I'm in Queens NY. I arrived yesterday and I'm leaving tomorrow. I'm staying in La Quinta inn. It smells funny, like cheap perfume and cigarettes. My first thought was this is what a prostitute smells like. So maybe I'm staying in a prositutes room. Gross!! tonight I got a chance to go on the subway to Timesquare. I went with one of the guys from work that is out here for the week. We walked to Tad's Steakhouse. It was pretty good. The guy cooking the steaks was either Cuban or Dominican. He was kinda rude. I tried talking to him in spanish and he just made fun of me in spanish and then finished talking to me in English. I forgot to take a picture of the place, but I found one online. I'm going to post some pictures of my little rendezvous to Timesquare that I took.
