Either my posts are so boring that nobody want to say anything or else no one has any comments. I think it's the first one. I guess they can be pretty boring. I did write some stuff on here that I'm sure someone would either agree with or disagree with. Not a peep from anyone.

Hey Chris! I finally have internet access again! My hubby had broadband installed last Thursday and now I can keep up with everyone. It's hard to believe that AJ is already a year old! He looks great in his birthday pic w/his cake (brilliant idea getting two cakes). Ben and I celebrated our first anniversary on Saturday. We both had to work so we just went out to eat later that night. I had caldo de camarones (very good) since I'm fighting a cold. We didn't go to church Sunday because we were both under the weather and this weekend we'll be able to listen to conference in our pjs as it streams in the living room. Out here you can't get it on TV unless you have a satellite dish, and for as long as I can remember, we've had to go to the stake center. This will be a nice change.

I've read your blogs and I have to say that I completely concur with your thoughts on the Katrina tragedy. On Fast Sunday someone in testimony meeting was talking about how for years the prophets have been telling us to be prepared and how important that is, especially now. They also mentioned that we are responsible for ourselves--that we can't count on anyone else for our welfare, not even the government. I totally agree with that opinion and that has jumpstarted us into completing our 72 hour kit. There's much more to be done, but that's a start.

Ben and I regret that we can't be in SLC for our reunions. I really wanted to be there this year and it seems like everything was working against us. Ah well. There are still more to come and maybe then our financial situation won't be so strained. I better go before I leave another novel in my wake, but take care! Say hi to Laura and AJ for me and love ya all much!
